Product Designer – For MSP & Cloud
Was responsible for the Firewalla MSP product system, bridging edge devices (Firewalla hardware) with a centralized cloud dashboard to enable scalable network protection and management for computer network professional users and small businesses.
Defined frontend visualization algorithms and backend data schema requirements to turn network/security data and alerts into actionable views; integrated AI Alarm Optimizer (intelligent alarm categorization and noise-reduction engine), which classifies, correlates, deduplicates, and prioritizes alerts, reducing false positives and surfacing high-risk incidents.
Led interaction design for innovative features including Firewalla Crystal (edge-to-cloud network security solution supporting flexible 3rd-party bare metal or VM deployment): architecting the zero-touch provisioning process, translating complex, multi-step hardware deployment tasks (e.g., BIOS boot priority configuration, USB flashing, WAN/LAN port bridging) into an intuitive, cloud-guided workflow.
Integrated 10+ security and network control functions (VPN Server, Device Active Protect, Smart Queue, Routes, Network Scan, Topology, etc.) into a unified web interface, ensuring system coherence across edge-to-cloud data flows.
Partnered with backend, hardware, frontend, and support teams across the full product lifecycle, translating customer requests into system-level design decisions.
